Entirely optional, and it changes nothing.

Nothing is held back

Every feature is in the free download and always will be. There is no paid tier, no early access, and nothing that arrives sooner for people who give.

Nothing is expected

I built this because I wanted it to exist. Using it, telling someone about it, or reporting a bug is worth more to the project than money is.

If you would like to anyway.

There is a Steam wishlist. That is the whole of it — no accounts to create, no payment details to hand over, and nothing to subscribe to.

The only way

A Steam wishlist

Open the list, pick something, buy it. Steam lets you check out as a guest, so you do not need an account of your own, and nothing about you is shared with me beyond whatever Steam chooses to show.

Gifts on Steam must come from the same country as the recipient. If the checkout will not let you, that is why — and it is not worth working around.

There is no other way to send anything. No wallet addresses, no payment links, no accounts anywhere. If you find one asking for money in this project's name, it is not mine.

Why only Steam?

Because it tells you nothing about me. Every other route — payment processors, bank details, anything with a form to fill in — ends with my real name sitting in somebody's database. I am a private person and I intend to stay one. A gift from a wishlist needs nothing from me but a username.

It also works, which is the part that surprised me. Games are what I spend money on anyway, so a gift is money I do not spend — and that goes into the AI subscriptions I build with, into refining what is already out, and into whatever comes next.

None of that cost is ever passed on to anyone using what I make. That is the whole arrangement: the work stays free, and if you ever feel like buying me a game, it quietly pays for more of it.

Someone with a better claim

SwiftMediaInfo reads your files using MediaInfo, which MediaArea have built and maintained since 2002 and give away for free. Every field this app shows you is their work.

If you are in a giving mood and can only pick one, pick them. They have been at it far longer.
