MediaInfo, in your browser.
Drop a file in. Read what is inside it. Nothing is uploaded.
No file yet.
Where your file goes
Nowhere. MediaInfo is compiled to WebAssembly and runs inside this page, on your own machine. Your file is read by the browser and handed straight to it.
How to check
Open your browser's network tab and drop a file in. You will see the analyser load once, and nothing after it. There is no server here to upload to — this site is static files.
The analyser is about 2.5 MB and is fetched only when you pick a file, from this domain rather than someone else's. Large files are read in pieces rather than loaded whole, so a 40 GB disc image is no more trouble than a ringtone.
And it is MediaInfo itself, not an imitation of it. Every number you see was read by MediaInfo, an open-source project by MediaArea, compiled to WebAssembly by the mediainfo.js project. They run a browser version of their own as well, with more output formats than the four here — and if any of this proves useful, they are the people who deserve supporting.
What this page cannot do
One file, four formats, in a browser tab. The Mac app is a different proposition.
